Leslie García es artista sonora y  desarrolladora de proyectos de arte electrónico y medios digitales. Explora el proceso de fusión entre el arte y  tecnología, utilizando técnicas como la producción de herramientas virtuales, desarrollo de prototipos electrónicos, producción de audio, diseño de piezas de net.art y códigos visuales generativos, desarrollo de hardware e interfaces biológicas. Hace producción de música electrónica bajo el alias de Microhm, LogarDecay y LatamTapes.

Es co-fundadora del colectivo de bioarte Interspecifics (Ciudad de México) 2013 – presente,  del colectivo de medios electrónicos DreamAddictive (Tijuana B.C.) 2003-2010, miembro de Astrovandalistas en la Ciudad de México 2011 – Presente. Investigadora asociada del Nucleo Laboratorial Nano de la Escola de Belas Artes – UFRJ, en Rio de Janeiro. 2012 – 2015,  Durante el 2015 – 2016 laboró como Investigadora artística en el departamento de medios de la Universidad Bauhaus en Weimar Alemania. Coordinadora del MusicMakers Hacklab #CDMX,  Durante 2019 fue coordinadora del departamento de educación del Centro de Cultura Digital en la Ciudada de México.

2020 – Comisión de la pieza Recurrent Morphing Radio para Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlín, En 2019 recibió la beca DAAD para residencias artísticas en Berlín Alemania. Becaria de la red ECAS (European Cities of Advanced Sound) con el proyecto Energy Bending Lab. Fue Becaria del Programa de apoyos a la producción en arte y medios 2010 del Centro Multimedia, becaria del Programa Jóvenes Creadores de FONCA 2008, 2011 y 2017 en la especialidad de medios electrónicos con los proyectos UberSonic, Pulsu(m) Plantae y Comunicaciones Especulativas. Como parte del colectivo Astrovandalistas desarrollo el proyecto AeffectLab para MOLAA con el apoyo del Andy Warhol Foundation, y la pieza Narrativas hacia el futuro comisionada por el Rubin Center del Paso Texas.

García is a sound artist and developer of electronic art and digital media projects. Explores the process of fusion between art and technology, using techniques such as the production of virtual tools, development of electronic prototypes, audio production, machine learning, artificial in telligence and generative visual codes, development of hardware, and biological in terfaces. She produces electr onic music under the aliases of Microhm, LogarDecay, and LatamTapes.

Co-founder of the bioart collective In terspecifics (Mexico City) 2013 – present, of the electr onic me-dia collective DreamAddictive (Tijuana B.C.) 2003-2010, member of Astr ovandalistas in Mexico City 2011 – Present. Associate researcher at the Nano Laboratory Nucleus of the Escola de Belas Artes – UFRJ, in Rio de Janeiro. 2012 – 2015, During 2015 – 2016 she worked as an artistic researcher in the media department of the Bauhaus University in Weimar Germany. During 2019 she was coordinator of the education department of the Center f or Digital Culture in Mexico City.

2020 Interspecifics is commissioned for the creation of the piece Recurrent Morphing Radio for “The Dissaperence of Music” at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin. In 2019 she received the DAAD scholar-ship for artistic residencies in Berlin Germany. She was a fellow of the ECAS network (European Cities of Advanced Sound) with the Energy Bending Lab project. Fellow of the 2010 Art and Media Produc-tion Support Program of the Multimedia Center, a fellow of the FONCA Young Creators Program 2008, 2011, and 2017 in the specialty of electr onic media with the projects UberSonic, Pulsu(m) Plantae, and Speculative Communications. As part of the Astr ovandalistas collective, she developed the Aef-fectLab project for MOLAA with the support of the Andy Warhol Foundation, and the piece Narratives towards the future commissioned by the Rubin Center del Paso Texas.
